What to expect?
On the morning of your tour, we will come and pick you up from your chosen bus stop or hotel in Reykjavík. We will then start our unforgettable adventure toward Snæfellsnes.
As we travel to the north, we will see mountains that were not previously there but had been recently created – after hundreds of volcanoes erupted in the area. When lava cools down, it sometimes creates extremely spectacular things for nature.
Typical Itinerary:
8:00 AM: Pick up from your chosen bus stop or hotel in Reykjavík.
Borgarnes: Drive through a scenic fjord and mountains, passing the historical town where Norwegian Vikings settled.
Ytri Tunga Beach: Observe a friendly seal colony, a haven for animal lovers.
Gerðuberg: Marvel at the unique and impressive basalt columns rising from the landscape.
Búðir: Visit an old village amidst lava fields, featuring the beautiful Black Church of Búdir.
Arnarstapi: Explore the charming fishing village with stunning coastal cliffs and stone arches.
Djúpalónssandur: Experience the striking black sand beach with volcanic pebbles and shipwreck remains.
