Initially, farmers from Sandøy used Finnøy for grazing. Only in 1868 the island became settled.From grazing land to important trading and production location, Finnøy's location north of Harøy is perfectly connected by a road and bridge. Established on the old trading place's premises and the fish reception on Finnøy, they offer guests a unique maritime atmosphere. The inlet has a restaurant, meeting rooms, a pub, a summer shop, accommodation, and a water park.The hotel has 50 hotel rooms in two buildings. The rooms have a nice view of the sea and the harbour. Finnøy Havstuer has large double rooms and family rooms with an attic/loft equipped with lovely duvets, hotel pillows, coffee machine, and the interior is inspired by the surroundings and historical photos. The rooms also offer excellent working space when they are used professionally. Just imagine plenty of space, lots of light, and a grand view.The Old Store at Finnøy has recently been restored and turned into a lounge. They have, of course, retained the soul in the room from 1891 by preserving the old hugs-style. They also expanded with several small salons with deep, good chairs for relaxation. Expect evenings with a good atmosphere, including live music and more in the future.The waterpark is a great activity for the whole family. Indoors you will find an 8.5 x 12.5 m basin, a child basin with bubble bench and water stream, a sauna, and a steam bath. And not to forget: Water slide with time taking. The park offers a fantastic view of the open ocean.
