Southern Norway

What we love about Southern Norway

Southern Norway is often referred to as Norway’s riviera with its beautiful beaches and sunny weather. Along the coastline is a uniquely Nordic archipelago with thousands of islets, skerries and tiny beaches along with rich marine wildlife. There is also a big variety of cycling paths and coastal hiking routes. This is where Norwegians go to unwind during the summer months.

Nearby Kristiansand, the capital of Southern Norway, you'll find Norway’s most beloved family park and zoo, the Kristiansand Dyrepark, which includes both the Kardemomme By village and the Kaptein Sabeltann world, a Norwegian fantasy figure for children. There are several trips starting in Kristiansand, where you can experience the surroundings by boat and explore the archipelago and its many towns and settlements along the coast.

Did you know that the region offers plenty of opportunity to spend your night in extraordinary adventure stays? Why not sleep in a lighthouse or even camp in the wild. Flekkefjord is a beloved destination for camping in the great outdoors.
