Northern Lights is perhaps the most beautiful natural phenomenon you will ever have the opportunity of seeing—an explosion of green fluttering like a veil across the arctic sky.
What to expect?
When you look up at the Aurora, you realise how small you are in the vastness of nature. Sometimes the lights are in plain sight - sometimes, we must hunt them. On this Aurora Express tour, we will make sure you get the chance of witnessing this beautiful sight.We will pick you up from Kirkenes city centre (either Scandic or Thon hotel) for this tour at 21:00. After a short 15-20 min ride, you will arrive at the Snowhotel itself, the starting point of the trip. After that, you will be driven far away from the light pollution, east towards the Russian border, west towards Finland, or south into the Pasvik valley, depending on the weather forecast that night. In addition to the chance of spotting the Northern Lights, the tour offers an excellent opportunity for sightseeing in the area and admiring the arctic landscape. When you hop off the bus to check out the sky, there will be hot juice and biscuits to keep you warm.

Note! The Aurora is a natural phenomenon and can never be guaranteed. We will do all we can to find the lights, and if we are not lucky, we will make it a memorable trip regardless. Please note that there is no refund if there is no Aurora or you choose not to make the trip.
