What to expect?
Visitors follow a 1.2‑kilometer elevated wooden boardwalk that winds gently through the treetops. The path leads to the Forest Tower itself, a striking 45‑meter spiraling structure rising above the canopy. Walking the tower’s curved ramp offers a calm, panoramic ascent where the forest opens up step by step. At the top, the 360‑degree view stretches across rolling woodlands, lakes, and fields, making it one of the most photogenic spots in Denmark. Many travelers describe standing on the summit of this “wooden skyscraper” as a highlight of their entire trip.
The Forgotten Giants: A Modern Fairy Tale Hidden in Nature
The “Forgotten Giants” are a beloved outdoor art treasure scattered around the outskirts of Copenhagen. Created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, the project features six enormous wooden sculptures built entirely from recycled materials and locally sourced scrap wood. Each giant is placed in a quiet, natural setting - meadows, forests, lakesides - encouraging visitors to explore lesser‑known green areas around the city.
Every sculpture has its own personality and story, and part of the charm is the sense of discovery. They are intentionally hidden, turning the visit into a playful treasure hunt for adults and children alike. On this tour, we visit two of these impressive giants, giving you time to walk around them, appreciate the craftsmanship, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings where they rest.
