Pelkosenniemi: Midnight Sun & Northern Lights Canoeing

Looking for a magical paddle under the midnight sun? Finland offers some stunning canoe/kayak tours during the long June–July daylight and in a sunset in August. Experiencing nature from the middle in a lake in the evening time is truly something else. You paddle under a sky that never darkens, bathed in golden light

We will go for the easy canoe tour by the lake and guide will tell you nice stories and tips on the way, but don´t forget to enjoy also the silence. One canoe is suitable for 2 to 3 persons.

🧳 Tips for a Great Tour

• Book ahead – midnight sun tours fill up fast in June–July.

• Dress smart – layer waterproof clothing; lakeside evenings can be breezy.

• Bring extras – insect repellent, a towel/swimwear if you fancy a quick dip.

• Capture the moment – the golden light is perfect for photos; don’t forget your camera or phone!

Pickups start 30 minutes before scheduled experience starting time. Choose your pickup place during reservation.

If you do not need a pickup: Arrive to the starting location at Astelin Uimaranta, Beach Pyhäntie 1634, 98530 Pelkosenniemiby the time of the scheduled start of the experience. This is where the canoes are stored for our lake trips.
