From Saariselka: Aurora Hunting Safari to Lake Inari incl. Dinner

Prepare for an extended 5-hour evening safari designed to maximize your chances of witnessing the Northern Lights over the famous Lake Inari. This unique adventure offers an authentic Lapland experience guided by local experts who share their knowledge of the region's culture and traditions.

Your expedition commences with a convenient pick-up from Saariselkä center, followed by a minibus journey to our basecamp in Ivalo. Upon arrival, you'll receive warm thermal clothing and shoes to ensure your comfort during the adventure. From there, you'll embark on a snowmobile-pulled sleigh, designed for comfort and covered with reindeer hide for warmth. 

Your local guide will lead you deeper into the wilderness, away from the bright lights of the city. A moment of tranquility awaits you on the frozen lakeside, providing an ideal vantage point to witness the elusive Northern Lights if nature grants the spectacle. Your adventure continues on a small island, home to a traditional wooden cottage and teepee. 

Here, you can relax and hope for another glimpse of the Northern Lights. Your guide will set the mood with a campfire and serve a delicious dinner comprised of local fish or reindeer. As a special treat, you'll also have the chance to meet and interact with friendly reindeers, deepening your connection to Lapland's culture and nature.
