The Arctic Circle Hiking area, a popular and beautiful recreation spot, is now easily accessible. Whether you're staying at Rovaniemi city center, Santa's Village, or Apukka Resort, our shuttle bus can take you there. The return transfer from the Arctic Circle Hiking Area departs at 13:20, stopping at the same bus stops as on the way to the hiking area. With three well-marked walking routes, visitors can immerse themselves in the wilderness and discover local nature and culture. Along the routes, several inviting rest spots and campfire sites await weary hikers.

This tour makes it possible for people visiting Rovaniemi to enjoy the Arctic Circle Hiking Area.
The walking routes offered include:
Könkäänsaari Accessible Nature Trail (1.5 km): This trail provides access to riverside and forest wilderness, catering to families with children and individuals with physical challenges.
Vianaapa Mire Trail (9 km): Equipped with duckboards, this trail traverses untouched aapa mire.
Kivalonaapa Meadow Culture Trail (approx. 6 km): Offering insight into the haymaking tradition of Southern Lapland, this trail provides a fascinating glimpse into local culture.
After returning from the Hiking Area, you have the option to enjoy the services offered at Apukka Resort and catch a later bus back to the city. The buses depart from Apukka at 14:45, 15:45, and 16:45, heading to the city center. At Apukka Resort, you can meet our reindeer and horses, rent an electric fatbike, or savor a delicious lunch at Restaurant Aitta (served daily between 12:00 and 15:00).
How do I get to the activity?
The price of the activity includes transfers to and from the Arctic Circle Hiking Area with our shuttle bus.
The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center, Santa Claus Village (by the main road E75), and at Apukka Resort.
Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
