You will also have a chance to dig for your own amethyst, try ice swimming and ice fishing, and even spend a night in a cozy glass igloo!

Full itinerary day by day:
Day 1: Arrive at the Arctic Circle & Experience the Northern Lights
Welcome to Rovaniemi, the Official Hometown of Santa Claus! Your guide will pick you up at the airport or the train station and take you to our Safari Office to dress you in proper winter clothes that you will use for your stay in Lapland. Relax in your hotel after check-in and prepare yourself for the first adventure.
In the evening, you will head out to the forest to enjoy an Arctic Circle campfire dinner in the middle of the Lappish wilderness. At the same time, you will hunt for the extraordinary Northern Lights in the starry sky!
Day 2: Ranua Wildlife Park & Traditional Sauna with Ice Swimming & Northern Lights by Snowmobile
After breakfast at your hotel, you will set off to the Ranua Wildlife Park, where you can observe Arctic animals in their natural environment. The Wildlife park includes approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 employees. Ranua Zoo is Lapland’s leading tourist attraction for families to greet unique, lovely Arctic animals, including polar bears! After a delicious lunch buffet, experience a traditional sauna - a major element in Finnish culture.
Try ice swimming in a frozen lake to refresh yourself and to improve your blood circulation. In the evening, head out for a Snowmobile adventure to hunt the Northern Lights. Enjoy a campfire BBQ under starry Lappish sky.
Day 3: Luosto Amethyst Mine & Saariselkä hilltop with Northern Lights
After a breakfast buffet, start your journey from Rovaniemi to Luosto, where you will visit the amethyst mine and dig for your Amethyst! The amethyst mine is on top of the Lampivaara hill, close to the Luosto recreation center in the middle of the beautiful landscape.
A professional miner will share fascinating stories with you and provide instructions on mining tools.Afterward, you will head to the peaceful village of Saariselkä in the middle of the wilderness. The area of Saariselkä is famous for its open mountainous scenery, fresh air, and pure nature, as well as the longest toboggan slope in Europe! In the evening, experience the Northern Lights on top of the hill named Kaunispää (beautiful point).
Day 4: Sami Museum in Inari & Ice Fishing & Northern Lights
Travel from Saariselkä to Inari, the largest municipality in Finland that charms the visitors and the locals with its unique nature and its diverse culture. Numerous lakes, thousands of islands, hundreds of fells, and a wide variety of flora and fauna provide unforgettable experiences for people who visit the region annually. In Inari, you will visit the national museum of the Sami people, which presents the culture of the Finnish Sámi through its exhibitions and publications.
After visiting the museum, head out for a forest adventure, where you will be provided with a traditional campfire fish lunch after hiking. Later, try to catch Nordic fish during the Ice Fishing experience in the frozen lake. Your guide will help you to find the best location to drill a hole. Afterward, spend the evening outside surrounded by wilderness and Northern Lights by a campfire.
Day 5: Santa Claus Village, Husky and Reindeer Sleigh Rides and Overnight in Arctic Glass Igloo
You will be transferred back to Rovaniemi after breakfast. The day's adventure starts with visiting Santa Claus Village where you will have a private meeting with Santa Claus. At the popular Santa’s Post office, you can greet Christmas Elves and be able to send postcards to your family and friends. Moreover, the Arctic Circle cuts right through Santa Claus Village. You will officially enter the Arctic when you cross the line.
Later, you will be provided with the Arctic Circle Crossing Certificate! Then, it will be time to visit the Husky farm! Let’s experience the enthusiasm of running dogs during the short but exciting sleigh ride. After the unforgettable experience with huskies, you will stop for a Lappish lunch break in the great outdoors!At the Reindeer farm, you will meet the natural reindeer herders, who will tell you about the Reindeer lifestyle. You will be sitting in a reindeer sleigh to experience the traditional way of traveling in Lapland.
After the ride, you will receive a reindeer driver's license to celebrate the moment!Enjoy the most unforgettable night of your lifetime in the Arctic Glass Igloo! Although there is no way to guarantee an aurora sighting since a clear sky, geomagnetic activity, and a dash of luck are needed, the possibility for a great northern light show at the Arctic Glass Igloos is almost optimal.
Day 6: Arktikum Museum & Snowshoeing & Ice Floating
Start the day with a cultural visit to the Arktikum Museum. The Arktikum is a museum and science center that lets you experience northern nature, culture, and history up close. The most visible part of the museum is the tube that serves as the "Gateway to the North glass" corridor, which is 172 meters long and is dissected by the 30-meter wide Kittilä highway.
Afterward, embark on unforgettable hiking and snowshoeing journey into the Arctic forest. Have the opportunity to try Ice Floating in the forest lake with your expert guide's assistance after a bonfire lunch.
Day 7: Visit the Arctic Snow Castle & Departure back home
In the morning, set off on your last journey 30 minutes far from Rovaniemi city center! Visit the incredible Arctic Snowcastle, built entirely of pure white snow and magnificent ice sculptures by Arctic designers. A guide will tell you how they keep the snow castle together for a whole winter, how to sleep in the ice hotel and many more interesting facts.
In the Arctic Snowcastle, you will find an ice bar, an ice restaurant, an ice chapel, and a snow hotel. Afterward, you will be transferred to Rovaniemi airport/train station.A valid driver’s license is required to drive the snowmobiles.
A paying adult must accompany children under 14. Please be ready and wait 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time in your hotel lobby. Infants under 4 can join free of charge.
