Rovaniemi: The Longest Snowmobile Safari in Lapland

Embark on an unforgettable snowmobile adventure, venturing 50-70 kilometres for 3 hours deep into the heart of Lapland's stunning natural landscapes! 

Your experience begins with a meeting at our Safari Office or at our City Office, where you'll be greeted by your guide. You'll then gear up in warm winter overalls to ensure you're comfortable and protected during the ride. Next, we’ll check driving licenses for those who will be operating a snowmobile, followed by a safety briefing to go over important guidelines for a safe and enjoyable experience. Before setting off with the snowmobiles, your guide will give detailed driving instructions.

With varying lengths and speeds, this safari is perfect for both beginners and experienced riders and offers ample opportunities for taking photos along the way. The three-hour safari is one of the most popular tours, showcasing the most beautiful places in the Arctic Circle. Your guide will provide safety instructions for driving, ensuring your peace of mind as you venture into Lapland's wilderness. Additional information:

• Duration of the program is about 4 hours. It is suited for adults.

• In order to drive a snowmobile, a valid driver’s license (class B) is required. A provisional license or a picture of the driving license won’t be accepted. The driving license must be recognizable in English. If you do not bring your driving license you won’t be able to drive a snowmobile and no refund can be offered.

• 2 adults share 1 snowmobile. If the number of people in the group is an odd number, someone in the group will have to share a snowmobile with another member of the activity. Single driving is available as a supplement for adults.

• Missed meeting time and point will result on missed safari which will not be refunded.

• The snowmobile driver is responsible for any damages to the vehicle, with a maximum personal self-liability of 950€ per person per snowmobile in case of an accident. Additional insurance can be purchased on site for 15€, reducing self-liability to 150€. This insurance must be purchased before the start of the tour.

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance.

• If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded. Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

• Alcohol consumption is not allowed during the tour, and guests cannot participate if intoxicated.

• Pick-up point: Snowmobile Park City Office (Koskikatu 8). Meeting time at 13:00 / 15:00.

• Meeting point: Snowmobile Park Safari House (Joulumantie 5). Meeting time at 13:00 / 15:00.

• Please note, the meeting times are indicative. We will inform you of the exact meeting time by email the day before. If you do not receive this email, please contact the service provider.

• 13:05 / 15:05 – Transportation from the City Office departs
  13:20 / 15:20 – Office and winter clothes
  14:00 / 16:00 – Activity starts
  17:00 / 19:00 – Activity ends
  17:30 / 19:30 – Drop off
