What to expect?
Welcome to Rovaniemi, the hometown of Santa Claus and the gateway to Lapland. Escape from the city and enjoy the unspoiled nature of Lapland and the real winter with trees covered in snow.
In this package, you will get to try the best of all activities Lapland has to offer. Ride a snowmobile to see breathtaking northern lights, experience traditional ice fishing and of course visit Santa Claus in his office.

Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome in Rovaniemi
Welcome, you have arrived to Lapland!
You will be picked up by the guide at the airport or train station and will be brought to your accommodation.
Until the evening you will have time to settle in and explore the city and her nature by your self.
Northern Lights Snowmobile Hunt
In the evening, be prepared for a great adventure. Seeing Northern Lights is a dream of many people. Escorted by your professional tour guide, you will drive the snowmobile to get to the remote area where there is no light pollution of the city. Enjoy the exciting ride across the snowy pure white forest, and explore the untouched nature of Lapland.
Your final destination is a fireplace in the magical woods of the Arctic. Your guide will tell you tales and stories about the spectacular phenomenon, Northern lights, as you wait for them to appear above you. Serve yourself with reindeer meat Lappish sausages and steaming blueberry tea, as you relax with the sound of a warm crackling fire.
Day 2: Explore Rovaniemi
Explore the Lapland’s capital town, Rovaniemi, and experience life in the Arctic. Your exquisite day will start with an easy 15 minutes hike for the beautiful scenery of Rovaniemi city. Climbing to the hilltop of Ounasvaara, the highest point in Rovaniemi, you will be in the middle of the dreamy Finnish forest.
After the hike, learn everything about arctic in the Arktikum museum, where you will see the exhibition of arctic animals, indigenous people Sami, and local history from the ice age to the present. You can also find information and a display of Northern lights.
Reindeer and Husky ride:
The next activity awaiting you is the visit to husky and reindeer farm. Feel the excitement of the speedy sleigh ride with energetic huskies in Husky Park, and relax on a comfy sleigh as your reindeer takes you into the tranquil forest in Santa Claus Village. Delight with warm coffee or tea for a refreshment, together with the local’s favorite cookies.
Santa Claus Village:
Finally, the climax of the tour involves the iconic character of Rovaniemi, Santa Claus. Visit the Santa Claus Village and get a certificate for crossing the Arctic Circle line, spend your time in the fairy-tale village full of shops with arctic products, and, of course, meet the Santa Claus himself! Inside the village is an official Santa Claus post office, where the elves will help you sending a message to your loved ones with the special stamp.
Day 3: Ice fishing experience in Lapland
Experience Ice Fishing like a True Local and Snowshoeing Taster
Hike through the Arctic forest to reach your destination for fishing. If the snow is deep enough, strap on your snowshoes and experience walking with the Arctic style. Arriving at the lake, you will drill through thick ice with the support of your professional guide. Wait for a fish while you enjoy the scenery.
After a while, head for your cookout trip. Gather around a campfire in the snow, taste the Lappish pork sausages and salmon. Delight in grilling your own fish, if are lucky enough to catch one.
Day 4: Farewell Lapland
Departure from Rovaniemi:
Today is the last day of your trip, so enjoy your breakfast and when you are ready we will take you to the Airport / Train Station and bid you farewell!
