What to expect?
The national park nature represents the fell area of western Lapland. Today we can view the Lappish fells also from a bird perspective taking a scenic ride on a gondola lift to the top of Ylläs fell. Easy hiking trail offers a great variety of views and photogenic spots. Hot or cold drinks depending on weather are enjoyed on a break half way of the hike. Local guide instructs you to the flora, traditions, myths and today’s lifestyle in the fell village.
Please note
Operated in Ylläs during summer and autumn season. Minimum number of participants required for each safari is 4 full paying adults.
Please wear proper outdoor clothing and footwear according to the weather. A rain jacket and rubber boots are highly recommended on a rainy day.
Mosquito repellent is offered by our guide when needed.
Transfers from/to holiday accommodations located in Ylläs area are included within max. 15 km distance from the safari house based in Ylläsjärvi.
Meeting time for our safaris is always before the starting time of the safari. You will receive your meeting time and point upon confirmation. Safari starts when the group is clothed and ready to go. Missed meeting time and point will result on missed safari which will not be refunded.
We kindly ask you to note, that in case the Gondola lift is not running due to weather and safety reasons, walking tour will take place on another route.
