What to expect?
Join us for this safari where we’ll drive all the way up to Ylläs fell. With clear weather the sceneries are breathtaking as you will stand on top of the highest fell of the area. You can see neighboring fells and all the way to Sweden. While viewing the sceneries, we have a break at the top cafe for a hot drink and a sweet bite. The journey continues before heading back to the village Ylläsjärvi through the snow covered forest. If the weather or snow conditions are not good and safe, the tour will take you to another track, driving in the forest and on frozen marsh.
Please note
Operated in Ylläs during winter season from February-March. (weather permitting). Minimum number of participants required for each safari is 2 full paying adults.
Each person driving a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving license (B). Please remember to take your driving license with you.
Note: Children who are tall (min.140 cm) and strong enough can join as passenger in a snowmobile when paying the adult price. Not suitable for children under 13 years old. Not recommended for pregnant women and people with fragile musculoskeletal system.
Two persons per snowmobile. For this activity, we highly recommend purchasing a single driver supplement.
Snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. Personal self-liability is max. 990 €/person/snowmobile/case of accident. By purchasing a 20 € self-liability insurance before the start of the safari, you reduce the amount of self-liability down to max. 150 €/person/snowmobile/case of accident. Self-liability insurance is personal and valid in one snowmobile safari.
Transfers from/to holiday accommodations located in Ylläs area are included within max. 15 km distance from the safari house based in Ylläsjärvi. Winter clothing include thermal overall, winter boots, woollen socks, woollen scarf, beanie and gloves.
Meeting time for our safaris is always before the starting time of the safari. You will receive your meeting time and point upon confirmation. Safari starts when the group is clothed and ready to go. Missed meeting time and point will result on missed safari which will not be refunded.
