What to expect?
If you're an adventurous person looking for a challenge, ice climbing on a glistening glacier in Iceland is definitely worth experiencing!Upon arrival, we will provide you with the specialist equipment needed and all the safety instructions required. Next, we will make our way and access the glacier via a beautiful valley walk.
Once we come face to face with the ice, we strap on our crampons and make our way up the glacier. Never ice climbed before? Do not worry! We will walk until we arrive at a suitable area to cover the techniques and instructions of how to ice climb safely and effectively. We will then do an introduction/practice climb and refine your technique so you can learn to climb efficiently.
You will be ready for an excellent ice climbing adventure in no time!
As an added bonus, our ice climbing trips are flexible and we will tailor the tour to suit your style. We can make climbing friendly and comfortable, or we can make the climbing steep and challenging - the choice is yours!
If you want to do a lot of climbing, then we do a lot of climbing! And if you would like to try out an easy climb and then go exploring the glacier, that is what we will do. There is much to see in the Icelandic landscapes and climbing a glacier will be sure to leave you mesmerized.

What to bring
We do not provide any vehicle transport. You need to meet us at Freysnes fuel station and then follow our gear van in your vehicle on a short 5 minute drive to the glacier parking lot where we will begin the tour.
