Hveragerði: Horseback Riding & Whale Watching

Are you short on time but longing for activities? On this tour you have the chance to experience two big beautiful animals on the same day, the horse and the whale! We start the tour by riding for 1.5-2 hours at our farm Vellir. After the riding tour we have light lunch at Hótel Eldhestar before driving you to the Whale Safari boat.

Please note: The tour is suitable for all levels of riding experience from beginners to advanced. During booking process, we ask our clients to inform us about their riding experience, which helps us to choose the right horse for everyone. Beginners and experienced riders ride together. We always try to tölt as much as possible, but do not gallop for safety reasons.

This tour is offered the whole year around. One-day tour includes a light lunch at Hotel Eldhestar and whale watching safari. Pick-up in Reykjavik every day at 08:00. Return to Reykjavík ca. 16:45. Note that pick up from hotels in Hafnarfjörður, Kópavogur and Mosfellsbær is at 7:30 and pick up from Hveragerði and Selfoss is at 8:45. Please double check your booking a day or two before arrival for the pick up location, as the bus stops may change without notice. Please let us know if there are any dietary needs like if there are allergies or vegetarians.

The Whale Watching is operated by Elding and ends at 16:00 in the old harbor of Reykjavík. The guests can request drop off within Reykjavík on the spot for an additional fee.
