Our South Coast Tour
The South Coast of Iceland is famous for its breathtaking natural wonders and captivating landscapes.
At EastWest, we have carefully selected a unique and unforgettable experience for our passengers, ensuring that your journey along the South Coast is truly extraordinary.
What sets us apart from other operators is our commitment to providing a more intimate and personalized adventure. Our South Coast tour is conducted in small groups, just like all of our other tours, using Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibuses with a maximum capacity of 19 passengers. This approach allows our expert guides to build a deeper connection with each guest, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere throughout the day.
Highlights of our South Coast tour:
Seljalandsfoss Waterfall:
Marvel at the majestic beauty of Seljalandsfoss, a famous waterfall where, weather permitting, guests can even walk behind its curtain of water.
Gljúfrabúi Waterfall:
This hidden waterfall can be visited when weather conditions allow. If accessible, we will make an additional stop at this hidden gem. Please note that the inclusion of Gljúfrabúi is subject to weather and road conditions, as the safety and comfort of our guests are our top priority.
Skógafoss Waterfall:
Prepare to be amazed by the impressive Skógafoss, with its spectacular 60-meter drop. Take a moment to appreciate the grandeur of Mother Nature’s creation before continuing our journey.
Village of Vík í Mýrdal:
Explore this charming coastal village, the only one of its kind in Iceland without a harbor. From the village church, we will enjoy panoramic views of the coastline. A truly unique stop for photography lovers.
Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach:
Immerse yourself in the dramatic setting of this stunning black sand beach. Witness the powerful waves of the North Atlantic crashing against the shore, creating an unforgettable scene.
Sólheimajökull Glacier:
Experience the breathtaking beauty of Sólheimajökull Glacier as we venture onto its icy expanse. This incredible glacier will leave you with lasting memories and stunning photographs.
Throughout the tour, our guides will share their knowledge and stories, providing insight into the history, geology, and culture of the South Coast. Our small-group setup of no more than 19 passengers allows for a more interactive and personalized experience, ensuring every guest feels connected and engaged throughout the journey.
Please note
We recommend dressing according to the weather. A hat and gloves are always a good idea for all tours, along with comfortable footwear and warm socks. It is also advisable to bring a waterproof jacket.
If you are visiting in winter (September–May), you may bring urban crampons to attach to your shoes when necessary, as there can be a lot of ice near the waterfalls. However, they must be removed while on board the bus.
To ensure the safety of all passengers, guests with reduced mobility must be accompanied by another passenger who will be responsible for their safety and well-being during the tour. We recommend that passengers with reduced mobility contact us to discuss risks and available options. EastWest is not responsible for accidents caused by reduced mobility.
Due to limited storage space, wheelchair and mobility scooter users must contact us in advance to confirm equipment dimensions.
Due to the length of this tour and the fixed schedule, we believe that infants (0–3 years old) should not attend this tour.
