What to expect?
Mýrdalsjökull glacier is renowned as one of Iceland's most iconic landmarks, and it's the source of the captivating Kötlujökull glacier. This glacier, named after the formidable Icelandic Volcano Katla, conceals the mighty volcano beneath its icy embrace. Over time, this colossal ice mass has slowly descended from the volcanic mountain, giving rise to some of Iceland's most remarkable natural ice caves.
Join us on an exhilarating Super Jeep tour, and immerse yourself in the splendors of this extraordinary natural wonder. As soon as you step inside, you'll understand why it's a must-see!
Please note
The drive from Vík to the Ice Cave is approximately 45 mins each way. The walk from the end of the road to the Ice Cave is approximately 10 mins. You will have approximately 1 hour at the Ice Cave.
Ice Caves are natural and ever changing and do not always reflect photos.
Please note that this tour may not be suitable for individuals with fear of darkness or claustrophobia.
We recommend that you are able to walk 2 km on uneven ground and can climb a steep set of stairs with a rope assistance.
