Day 1
Heading out to Snæfellsnes we will make our fist stop at the small fishing village of Arnarstapi. Later we will visit Snaefellsjokull National Park where you will have the chance to visit an 8000-years-old lava tube called Vatnshellir (please note that this attraction has an extra cost, and it can be included during the booking process). If you choose not to join the cave exploration your guide will take you to explore the landscape from the surrounding area.
The fishing village of Hellnar is our next stop where you can grab some lunch before heading to Djúpalónssandur Beach. Last but not least, we will visit the famous Mt. Kirkjufell. If the weather allows, we will top off our day witnessing Iceland's quintessential natural phenomenon: the Northern Lights.
Day 2
After breakfast it is time to visit the Borgarfjörður area, making our first stop at Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe. Coming next is the historic site of Reykholt, then Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, to finish off our trip at Gerðuberg Basalt Columns. Another exciting stop - Sturlureykir horse farm where you can see the famous Icelandic Horses and learn a little more about farming in Iceland. After a day packed with adventures we will head back to Reykjavík, and hopefully encounter some Northern Lights on the way!
