Geothermal Park and Bakery in Hveragerði

Begin your day at the Geothermal Park and Bakery in Hveragerði. Witness the Eilífur Geyser erupting every 15-20 minutes and sample hverabrauð, traditional Icelandic rye bread baked using geothermal heat.

Kerið Volcanic Crater

Next, visit the Kerið volcanic crater, known for its red earth. The crater spans 270 meters in width and plunges over 55 meters deep. Walk around the rim or descend to the lake's edge for a closer look.

Gullfoss Waterfall

Continue to Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most notable waterfalls. The double drop of the waterfall cascades over 30 meters, creating a continuous display of spray. Walk along the viewing paths to experience the power of Gullfoss from different angles.

Haukadalur Geothermal Area

Head to the Haukadalur Valley, home to the largest geysers in the area, including Strokkur. Strokkur erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, shooting water columns 20 to 30 meters high. Explore the geothermal area and observe the dynamic landscape.

Þingvellir National Park
