Private \ Into the Glacier from Reykjavik

On this top-quality adventure tour, we will drive from Reykjavik to Hvalfjördur bay. Taking a gravel road over the mountains on our way to Húsafell and stopping at the beautiful Hraunfossar waterfalls, before enjoying a delicious light lunch at Húsafell.

Our chosen ice tunnel is located in the giant glacier - Langjökull. With the size of 953sq/km, it is known as the second-largest glacier in Iceland. We venture to the roots of Langjökull and drive across the snowy and icy conditions in our fabulous Arctic Trucks. After driving as high as we can to the glaciers highest point, you are gifted with clear skies and given the most amazing views for capturing the perfect picture.

Once we're inside the glacier you will experience the most magical things that you may not experience again so easily. Blue ice, a beautiful chapel, the bridge over a huge ice crevice and amazing sights that will make your visit to Iceland an unforgettable adventure.

On our way, back to Reykjavik in the afternoon, we drive through Kaldidalur - Cold Valley, one of the highest mountain roads in Iceland. We survey the mountain whilst driving the super jeep on the way down Kaldidalur. The Cold Valley steers us to the historic - Thingvellir national park, home of the ancient Icelandic Viking parliament that is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An indescribable nature with the most extensive lake in Iceland. You will hear about the amazing Icelandic history and have the chance to observe the incredible surroundings before heading back to Reykjavík city.

Please note: No meals are included on this tour, we stop at Húsafell around lunchtime where you can buy some lunch.
