From Reykjavik: Monster Truck Langjökull Glacier & Golden Circle Tour

BSI Bus Terminal or Chosen Pick-up Point in Reykjavik

You will start your Icelandic adventure either from the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavik or from one of the 39 convenient pick-up locations around the city. Feel the anticipation for an unforgettable day!

Thingvellir National Park

You will visit Thingvellir, a unique spot where the ground reveals the American and Eurasian continents pulling apart. This vast area, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is dotted with open fields, earth cracks, and clear ponds.

Geysir

You will experience the thrill of the Geysir area. While the original Geysir remains dormant, you'll witness Strokkur erupting every 4-8 minutes, shooting water up to 40 meters into the air. This dramatic display of nature's power is a sight you won't soon forget.

Gullfoss Waterfall

You will see the 'Golden Falls', a beautiful waterfall that falls into a deep canyon. The sound of the rushing water is loud and exciting, and sometimes you can see rainbows in the water spray. It's one of the best places to see how wild and amazing Iceland's nature is.

Monster Truck Expedition - Meeting Point

After the Golden Circle part, it's time for the Glacier Adventure. You will meet your guides at the upper Gullfoss parking space, directly opposite the 'Gullfoss - Panorama Restaurant - Cafe - Shop'. During the warmer months, we will begin with the white Mercedes Benz Bus transfer bus with the Red Monster Bus graphic when glacier road is open for larger vehicles. However, if the road is covered in heavy snow, we will use directlyour Red Monster Glacier Buses from the glacier. 

Langjökull Glacier Adventure

Beginning: Once you're settled into one of the comfortable seats aboard the Sleipnir Monster Glacier Truck, brace yourself. Our unique adventure is about to take off!

To the Glacier: We set our course to Langjökull, known as the 'Long Glacier'. With every twist and turn, a fresh, mesmerizing sight emerges. While this majestic location was inaccessible in the past, our Gigantic Red Monster Glacier Truck now provides a smooth and safe journey.

The Sound of Iceland: Throughout the journey, the rhythms of Icelandic tunes will accompany you, enhancing the scenic views from the panoramic windows. 

Stories Along the Way: Your journey will be enriched by our knowledgeable team. From captivating glacier tales to local folklore, their narratives promise to be as riveting as the landscapes you're traversing.

Into the Glacier's Heart (OCTOBER - JANUARY): Each winter, our dedicated Sleipnir team identifies a unique Natural Ice Cave in Langjökull for exploration. The caves' ever-changing nature guarantees a unique experience each season. Led by our local experts, you'll navigate through these frozen wonders, admiring nature's artwork.

Fun on the Glacier (FEBRUARY - MID-OCTOBER): In the warmer months, the vast glacier is buzzing with fun activities. You'll always have something to do on this icy stretch, making your time on the glacier truly memorable. Drink the freshest water straight from the glacier, or enjoy some cocoa and tea at our glacier café. Be sure to try the Jökla liqueur and the classic Icelandic Kleina. Plus, join in on the thrilling glacier activities.

Photographer's Paradise: Whether you're in a bright ice cave or on a wide glacier, the views are amazing. Everywhere you look is a perfect photo moment, so you'll have great memories to take home after the trip.

Gullfoss Meeting Point

You'll be taken back to where we started at Gullfoss. Use this quiet time to think about the fun day. Get a coffee, eat something, maybe buy a souvenir, and take a last look at the Gullfoss Waterfall before we head back to Reykjavik.

Back to Pick-up Location

You will be driven back to your initial pick-up location in Reykjavik, ending your tour with memories and stories to cherish. You might want to share your adventurous time with people close to you.
