Shaped by thousands of earthquakes, this area boasts multiple volcanoes in the Gelldingalur Valley. Brace yourself for a breathtaking experience as we explore the geothermal wonders, natural phenomena, and stunning beauty of Reykjanes Peninsula's backcountry.
Prepare to be amazed by the erupting volcano, the awe-inspiring sight of earthquakes shifting continents, and the mesmerizing geothermal activity. Our journey will take us to the lava-surrounded fish-hangars and the picturesque Lake Kleifarvatn with its stunning beaches.
We'll also visit the Gunnuhver hot springs in Krýsuvík's geothermal area, witness the volcanic eruption at Fagradalsfjall, and admire the Reykjanesviti lighthouse. As a special treat, we'll explore the coastal features, including the bridge between two continents, where you can walk between two tectonic plates. These are just a few of the incredible places you'll encounter on this remarkable tour.

Volcanoes are a natural phenomenon and the level of volcanic activity at the site varies from day today.
The hike is of high to medium difficulty, covering around 8 km with a 300 m elevation.
Food is not included in the tour, but we will make stops where you can purchase refreshments.
What to bring
Wear warm, wind & waterproof clothing, and sturdy shoes suitable for uneven terrain. Bring food & drinks. Hiking poles are recommended (can also be rented). A face mask is recommended to protect from ashes at the volcano.
