Reykjavík: Private | Combo Folklore & CatWalk

This private tour combines the Reykjavik Folklore Walking Tour with the famous Reykjavik CatWalk, creating a unique and charming city experience.

We begin with a folklore route off the beaten path, walking through two of Reykjavik’s historic graveyards while learning about Icelandic myths and legends.

The tour then continues with the CatWalk, a city walk focused on Reykjavik’s beloved feline residents and their role in local culture and history.

Along the way, we follow the paw prints of cats from Iceland’s earliest settlement and explore fascinating cat myths from Iceland and around the world.

We also visit Kattakaffihúsið, Reykjavik’s cat café, where you can relax with coffee or hot cocoa while meeting friendly cats and enjoying Icelandic pastries.

If we are lucky, we may even spot some of downtown Reykjavik’s most famous cats, such as Baktus, Jonsi, and Ofelia.

The walk starts at the pillars in Ingólfur Square and ends at the Einar Jónsson Sculpture Garden near Hallgrímskirkja.

This is a perfect three-hour city walk for anyone who loves folklore, culture, and cats.

We meet up outside Hlöllabátar, facing Ingólfstorg Square and the two tall stone pillars.
