When we reach our viewing spot, you’ll step into the crisp night air. To keep you cozy, we provide hot chocolate, traditional Icelandic pastries, and hand warmers. These little comforts let you focus on the magical sky above.

With smaller groups, you’ll enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere and personal interaction with the guides. You’ll also have more opportunities for photos, and our guides are happy to help capture the Northern Lights with you in the frame.

Northern Lights Viewing

• Pickup in Reykjavík (approx. 20:00–21:00, seasonal)
  Your guide picks you up from your accommodation or designated bus stop in Reykjavík. Step aboard a comfortable Sprinter minibus and begin your journey away from the city lights.

• Scenic Drive into the Countryside
  Travel through Iceland’s darkened landscapes as your guide shares fascinating stories about the Aurora Borealis — from the science behind the lights to Icelandic myths and legends.

• Aurora Hunting Spot
  Your guide selects a location with the best visibility for the night, away from light pollution. Step outside into the crisp air and enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, Icelandic pastries, and hand warmers while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear.

• Northern Lights Viewing & Photography
  If the skies are clear, marvel at the dancing colors of the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will also assist with photography, ensuring you capture unforgettable memories.

• Return to Reykjavík (approx. midnight–01:00)
  After a magical evening under the northern skies, relax on the drive back to Reykjavík, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.
