What to expect?
This self-drive, multi-day combo lets you experience both whale watching with Elding and snowmobiling with Mountaineers of Iceland on separate dates. You select your whale watching date at checkout, and choose the snowmobile date in the booking calendar. It’s a flexible way to enjoy two of Iceland’s most exciting adventures.
The snowmobile tour departs at 12:00 from Gullfoss Café, where you park and wait for transport to base camp before heading up to Langjökull glacier by monster truck. After receiving helmets, overalls, gloves, and a full safety briefing, you ride double snowmobiles across the glacier with stunning views all around. Children aged seven and up can join as passengers, and a single-rider option is available.
The whale watching tour departs at 13:00 from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour, where you exchange your voucher and meet the crew at the Visitor Centre. On board, you’ll find outdoor decks, a heated indoor lounge with café, and blankets or overalls for colder days. A knowledgeable guide provides live commentary as you search for minke whales, humpbacks, dolphins, and porpoises in Faxaflói Bay.
