What to expect?
For those who don't want to ride but do want to interact with and get to know more about the Icelandic horse, we offer a guided tour of the stable.Here you'll get a chance to be around the horses, pet them to your heart's content, take beautiful pictures and learn about their long history. Your guide will explain what makes them a truly unique breed of horses and you are free to ask any questions.
We also offer a horse rental for children, where they can help brush a horse, try a bit of riding and small games as a guide assists them around the riding hall.
Directions: Icelandic Horseworld is located in the south of Iceland on the horse breeding farm Skeiðvellir. It is 90 km from Reykjavík and 15km from Hella. From the main road, number 1, it is 8 km towards Hekla and Landmannalaugar on road number 26.
