What to expect?
Our top-quality adventure tour offers a unique experience and we do our best to make this a lifetime experience for you!Our 2 - 3 hour Whale Watching adventure departs from Old Harbour in downtown Reykjavik. We sail into Faxafloi bay in search of Minke, Killer and Humpback whales, Dolphins and Harbour porpoises.
On this tour, you will also experience the spectacular views of the mountains and islands surrounding our beautiful city - Reykjavik as well as the wonderful birdlife. To top it all off, onboard our wonderful boats we have warm overalls, heated spacious indoor cabins, a nice bar and free wi-fi.
Please note: due to environmental reasons during certain times of the year our trips may be delivered on a shared boat with one of our partners. At Reykjavik Sailors, we are committed to ensuring the environment is kept pristine by making sure fewer boats are on the water.
Due to government regulations, all passengers from the 31st of July until further notice are required to wear face masks and respect 2-meter social distancing at all times. Passengers may use their own mask or can be purchased at the spot for 200 ISK.
Disclaimer: Whale watching is a natural activity governed by the laws of the weather. If the trip is cancelled due to bad weather, your Whale Watching ticket will be refunded if you didn’t join a tour before.
Also, if you don't see a whale, you have the option to take the tour again for free!
Covid-19 precaution:
· Face masks required for all the passengers and staff
· Hand sanitiser available for all passengers and employees
· Common surfaces are sanitized throughout the day
· Limited number of passengers allowed on each tour to ensure that there is space for social distancing on board
· All contact surfaces on board are fully sanitized between tours
· Disposable masks and gloves are available for a small cost for passengers.
· Overalls are sanitized after each tour. However, due to the material of the suits, it is not possible for us to guarantee that all traces of potential COVID-19 has been destroyed. Overalls are available for those who want to use them.
· Buses used for pickup service are sanitized between trips.
