Overview

Trek across Iceland’s Hornstrandir Nature Reserve with a professional guide. Hike remote trails through fjords, coastal cliffs, and mountain terrain while carrying your gear, moving from one campsite to the next. End each day at a tented camp and return by boat to Ísafjörður at the conclusion of the traverse.

What to bring

Bring warm outdoor clothing (avoid cotton) and a waterproof jacket and pants. Wear waterproof high-top hiking boots and bring a hat, gloves, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Pack a small backpack (35–45 L) with a water bottle, sleeping bag liner, pillow cover, and personal medication. Optional items include binoculars and a camera.
