Join us in our home "Risvika", the home of four generations of local farmers. The old farm building is decorated for the traditional celebration of Christmas, and we welcome you into the hayloft where we bring you into the lovely Christmas mood.

What to expect?

Each year the winter darkness comes upon us, and each year er celebrate “jul”, our Christmas, a needed treat for a people surviving such cold winters.

An old farm, the home of four generations of local farmers is now waiting for you 40 minutes by minibuss to the coast of Kvaløya. This is where you will get to learn about local traditions, like the relative of Santa Claus, the “fjøsnisse”; a mythical little man living with the animals -and the people on farms.

While you enjoy the cosy atmosphere we will serve the festive porridge, sweet gluhewine (without alcohol) and gingerbread.

The old barn is brimming with warm feelings, but this is outdoors, so dress for the cold.
