Experience the magic of the Arctic night sky as you set out in search of the Northern Lights across Magerøya Island.
Your adventure begins at The North Cape Experience Office in Honningsvåg , where your local guide will greet you, provide warm clothing if needed, and help you prepare your camera for photographing the aurora.
We’ll then set off by minibus to explore the island’s tundra, fjords, and coastline, searching for clear skies and the best chances to see the Northern Lights. Along the way, your guide will share stories about Arctic life, culture, and nature above the 71st parallel.

Highlights of the Tour
• Panoramic Viewpoint: Stop at a 360° viewpoint overlooking the fjord and the historic Hornvika, the original gateway to the North Cape.
• North Cape Plateau: Visit one of the northernmost points in Europe and explore the famous Globe Monument. If weather allows, you may see the aurora dancing above the Arctic Ocean.
• Sarnes & Kåfjord: Depending on local conditions, the guide will select the best viewing spots for optimal aurora visibility.
• Honningsvåg Mountain: On the way back, enjoy one final Arctic panorama before returning to town.
After the tour, return to our cozy gallery in Honningsvåg, where you can warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, coffee, or tea — the perfect ending to your night under the Arctic sky.
