What to expect?
Our tour starts in the city center near the tiger statue at Jernbanetorget. We then will take a train to Sognsvann - an idyllic lake surrounded by green forest. Norway is known for its excellent public transportation which can easily and comfortably take you to hidden natural gems and the best spots to enjoy nature. Just 20 minutes from Oslo and you are practically in the center of wilderness where the magical forest is preserved just like it was centuries ago.
The forest hike is followed by a barbecue on the lake shore. You can listen to your local guide's stories about the area and learn a lot about Norwegian outdoor food traditions. You'll have a chance to taste some of the most "Norwegian" food every local enjoys from time to time! After the cozy barbecue we will take a short train ride back to the city center.
This tour is the best way to experience how locals enjoy nature - and our expert guides know how to do it right! Would you like to make this tour private? No problem, just drop us a message at help@booknordics.com.
