Your journey begins in Oslo, a vibrant city that serves as the perfect gateway to Norway's landscapes. As you travel to Bergen, you'll experience the iconic Norway in a Nutshell day tour, including the famous, steep Flåm Railway as well as a fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord.

In Tromsø, you'll have the chance to witness the dramatic Northern Lights. And in the Lyngen Alps, you can explore Arctic nature up close as you spend a night in a Crystal Lavvo aurora hut located by the Atlantic Ocean coast.

Simply arrive in Oslo on your selected date and follow the program. Book your return flight for an afternoon departure 7 days after. This is a self-guided holiday program, suitable for anyone of normal health. Accommodation and all main transportation are included.

Day 1: Arrive in Oslo

Upon arriving in Oslo, self-transfer to your hotel via the airport express train. This is a fast and economic airport transfer taking you to Oslo Central Station which is located a few minutes on foot from your hotel. You'll be staying at the 4-star Radisson BLU Plaza or a similar hotel nearby, where you can settle into your double or twin room (as you prefer) and enjoy a restful night. Breakfast is included, ensuring you start your next morning on a good note.

Day 2: Travel to Bergen & Experience Norway in a Nutshell

Your adventure continues with the Norway in a Nutshell tour, which includes a convenient luggage transfer service so you don't have to carry any luggage on this full-day tour. The scenic journey will take you through some of Norway's most breathtaking landscapes. First, travel by train from Oslo Central station through forests and lush valleys, then up the mountain until you reach Myrdal mountain station. Here, change to the legerdary Flåm train and descend down to Flåm and the Sognefjord passing by waterfalls and otherworldly vistas.

In Flåm, relax and explore for some time before you board the local cruise ferry that takes you out on the fjord. Cruise through the Nærøyfjord and Aurlandsfjord to Gudvangen port. From here, a coach awaits which will take you to further lookout points and eventually to the village of Voss, fro where you change to a train that takes you directly to Bergen station.

Upon arrival in Bergen, you'll check into the 4-star Scandic Ørnen Hotel or a similar accommodation, located right next to the station. Enjoy a comfortable stay with breakfast included. Your luggage awaits at the hotel reception, delivered by our porter service before your arrival.

Day 3: Discover Bergen

Spend the day exploring Bergen, starting with a ride on the Fløien Funicular for panoramic views of the city and surrounding fjords. Have a stroll through the UNESCO heritage site Bergen Brygge wharf and learn about the Hanseatic history of this coastal Western Norway city. After a day of sightseeing and a dinner in central Bergen, return to the Scandic Ørnen Hotel for another night in your cozy room, with breakfast included to fuel your adventures.

Day 4: Travel from Bergen to Tromsø

Today, you'll fly to Tromsø with Widerøe airlines with checked luggage allowance of 23kg. Upon arrival, you'll check into the 4-star Home Hotel Aurora or a similar hotel located on the waterfront in central Tromsø. Settle into your double or twin room (as you prefer) and enjoy the included breakfast.

Day 5: Experience the Northern Lights in Tromsø

Experience the magic of the Northern Lights with a dedicated Aurora Basecamp Tour. Discover the magic of the Northern Lights with our local, sustainable, and socially responsible safari. With strategically located Base Camps boasting an 85% success rate from last season, this adventure promises unforgettable memories under the shimmering Aurora Borealis. Indulge in locally made hot soups or stews, choosing from fish, reindeer meat, or a vegetarian option, and savor the flavors amidst this captivating spectacle. While we can't accommodate special dietary requests, we guarantee an adventure that will ignite your wonder and leave you with cherished memories of nature's most incredible light show.

Day 6: Spend a Night in the Lyngen Alps

Head to the Lyngen Alps for an unforgettable overnight stay at the Crystal Lavvo. Your adventure begins at 11:45 AM outside Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromsø. After a scenic 90-minute transfer, including a fjord ferry crossing, arrive at the Basecamp in the Lyngen Alps. Surrounded by stunning fjords, mountains, and islands, our basecamp offers breathtaking panoramic views.

Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch at the main villa near to the lavvos. In the afternoon, choose from hiking, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing (weather permitting), or simply relax in your Crystal Lavvo. In the evening, join a Northern Lights photo workshop and dinner, where we provide a tripod and teach you how to capture the Northern Lights. We then continue with Northern Lights photography right outside the main villa.

This unique location, far from city lights, offers minimal artificial light pollution, making it an ideal spot to witness the Northern Lights. While we cannot guarantee sightings, our location in the Lyngen Alps provides a great chance of experiencing this natural wonder.

Spend the night in one of six private Crystal Lavvos, each equipped with a fireplace and firewood for heating. The lavvos are available from the early evening, after lunch and snowshoeing. The main villa next door, accessible 24 hours, includes shower, bathroom/toilet, washroom, and kitchen facilities.

Day 7: Return to Tromsø and Oslo

After breakfast, transfer safely by shuttle back to Tromsø Scandic Ishavshotel where you will arrive by 11 am. Catch a taxi to Tromsø airport for your flight back to Oslo on either Norwegian Airlines or Scandinavian Airlines, with 23kg checked luggage included per person. Your flight will depart between 13.30 and 18.00 hours and arrive to Oslo between 16.00 and 20.00 hrs. So depending on your onward schedule, you have the option to stay at an airport hotel in Oslo for added convenience and fly home the next morning.

Day 8: End your Adventure in Oslo

If you opted for the airport hotel, you'll have a comfortable place to rest before your departure from Oslo. This marks the end of your incredible Norwegian adventure, filled with unforgettable experiences and beautiful memories. Safe travels!
