What to expect?
You will be surrounded by old and cozy streets, bridges, rivers, breathless viewpoints, traditional Norwegian wooden houses and dramatic waterfall. We will walk along the beautiful river that is running through the city. This is a part of Oslo that should not be missed on your first time in Oslo.
On this tour, we will visit 3 Norwegian restaurants where we will enjoy dishes such as:
Fish soup
Smoked fjord trout
Boiled organic egg
Pickled fennel, pickled cucumber, fried potatoes, and dill mayonnaise
Fried moose steak
Pickled oyster mushrooms
Pickled red onions, lingonberries, and Jerusalem artichoke chips
Fried local cheese
Pickled delicate onions
Plum chutney, toasted hazelnuts, and honey vinaigrette
Waffle with brown cheese
All the food is made from genuine Norwegian ingredients and is typical of Norwegian food culture. Most dishes are "from farm to table."
We have carefully selected the best Norwegian restaurants to showcase Norwegian cuisine at its finest, and we have secured good prices on the food to keep the tour cost as low as possible for our guests. In other words, this tour offers great value for money!
This tour is evenly split, with approximately 50 % dedicated to food and the other 50% focused on discovering hidden gems. The tour covers a 3-kilometer walk, primarily on asphalt and mostly flat terrain. However, there will be a few short but steep uphill sections along the way. The highest point of the route is 45 meters above sea level. You will walk for approximately 1.5 hours in total and sit down to eat at a restaurant for about another 1.5 hours in total.
