The experience begins with a private transfer from Oslo to Hurdalsjøen, a peaceful lake region surrounded by forests and rolling countryside. You stay at a lakeside hotel where dinner and breakfast are included, creating a relaxed retreat atmosphere throughout your stay.
A highlight of the journey is a historical cruise on Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake. The cruise offers insight into local history while you enjoy views across calm waters and surrounding landscapes, combined with a dinner experience onboard. Another key experience focuses on Norwegian heritage with a guided visit to Eidsvollsbygningen, the birthplace of Norway’s constitution. This is combined with a visit to Oslo, giving you time to explore the capital’s highlights at your own pace.
The itinerary balances cultural discovery with time to relax in a natural setting. Optional kayaking or canoeing on Hurdalsjøen offers a final opportunity to experience the lake before departure.
Day 1: Arrive and Transfer to Hurdalsjøen
Arrive in Oslo and meet your private transfer. Travel north through the Norwegian countryside to Hurdalsjøen where you check in to your lakeside accommodation for a two-night stay. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure surrounded by peaceful lake and forest landscapes.
Day 2: Cruise Lake Mjøsa and Hear Local Stories
Travel to Evjua Strandpark and embark on a historical cruise on Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake. During the cruise enjoy a relaxed atmosphere combined with local storytelling and dinner onboard. Return to your accommodation and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 3: Explore Norwegian History and Oslo
Join a guided cultural experience beginning at your hotel. Visit Eidsvollsbygningen, the historic site where Norway’s constitution was signed in 1814. Continue by train to Oslo where you have time to explore the capital at leisure before returning to Hurdalsjøen by train. Enjoy dinner at your accommodation in the evening.
Day 4: Kayak or Depart from Hurdalsjøen
Optional kayaking or canoeing is available in the morning on the calm waters of Hurdalsjøen. Later, transfer privately to Oslo Airport for your departure.
