Oslo: 7-Day Oslo and Bergen Fjord Journey

This seven‑day journey connects Norway’s capital with the fjord region of Western Norway. The trip begins in Oslo where you spend three nights exploring the Norwegian capital. A guided walking tour introduces the city centre and its main landmarks. During your stay you also travel onto the Oslofjord on an electric sightseeing boat.

The journey between Oslo and Bergen follows one of Norway’s well‑known travel routes. The Bergen Railway crosses mountain landscapes before connecting with the Flåm Railway. From Flåm you travel by fjord cruise through the Nærøyfjord before continuing to Bergen by coach and train.

Bergen is the historic gateway to the fjords. During your stay you explore the city on a guided walking tour and take the Fløibanen funicular to Mount Fløyen for views across the harbour and surrounding mountains.

Your final activity is a fjord cruise to Mostraumen which travels into the fjords north of Bergen before returning to the city.

The journey ends in Bergen after seven days of cities, rail travel, and fjord experiences.

Day 1: Arrive in Oslo and Explore the City
Arrive in Oslo and make your way to your centrally located accommodation. Check in for a three-night stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring the harbour area, the Opera House, or the city centre.

Day 2: Join an Oslo City Walking Tour
Join a guided walking tour through Oslo’s city centre. The tour introduces key landmarks, public squares, and the city’s history. After the tour, spend the afternoon exploring museums, parks, or waterfront districts.

Day 3: Cruise the Oslofjord on an Electric Boat
Discover Oslo from the water on an electric fjord cruise. The route travels between islands and coastal neighbourhoods while audio commentary explains the city’s maritime history.

Day 4: Travel from Oslo to Bergen via Scenic Rail and Fjord Journey
Travel across southern Norway on a combined rail and fjord journey. The route includes the Bergen Railway to Myrdal, the Flåm Railway to Flåm, a fjord cruise through the Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen, a coach transfer to Voss, and a train journey to Bergen. Luggage is transferred directly to your hotel in Bergen.

Day 5: Join a Bergen Walking Tour and Ride the Fløibanen Funicular
Join a guided walking tour through Bergen’s historic districts including the Bryggen waterfront. Later, take the Fløibanen funicular to Mount Fløyen for views over the city and surrounding fjords.

Day 6: Cruise the Mostraumen Fjord
Join a fjord cruise from Bergen into the Osterfjord and Mostraumen strait. The boat travels through narrow waterways surrounded by mountains and waterfalls before returning to the city.

Day 7: Depart from Bergen
After breakfast, make your way to Bergen Airport for your onward journey.
