What to expect?
Explore the fjords from Oslo on this 24h trip! Starting from Oslo central station, you will board the Bergen Railway train, taking you on a journey across some of Norway’s most spectacular mountain terrains. Upon reaching Myrdal, you transfer to the world-famous Flåm Railway.
This railway is considered one of the most beautiful train rides globally and stands as one of Norway's leading tourist attractions. Here, you will witness the very best of Western Norway’s raw beauty and picturesque scenery.
From Flåm, your adventure continues with a fjord cruise, showcasing two stunning fjords listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Nærøyfjord, the longest fjord in Norway and one of the inner branches of the Sognefjord, narrows to just 500 meters in certain areas. In contrast, Aurlandsfjord is revered as one of the most unspoiled and dramatic branches of the Sognefjord, boasting magnificent, picturesque views and tall mountains that cast their reflections into the fjord below.
Following the boat ride, you will arrive at the ancient Viking village of Gudvangen, nestled at the end of Nærøyfjord. Gudvangen has captivated tourists for decades. From here, you will board a bus that will transport you through the breathtaking Nærøydalen valley, renowned for offering some of the country’s most spectacular scenery.
During the warmer months from May to September, the bus navigates the renowned steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva. Upon reaching Voss, you will continue your journey on the Vossebanen railway, culminating your comprehensive Norwegian tour in Bergen, the nation’s second-largest city.
Once you reach Bergen, have a stroll or relax for a couple of hours until you board the night train back to Oslo. Enjoy a private sleeping compartment with pillows, sheets, and all you need for a good night's sleep. You will arrive Oslo in the early morning, the next day.
