Alta: Guided Horseback Riding in the Arctic Countryside

Come visit a real Arctic ranch just 10 minutes from Alta. Flatmoen Farm sits in quiet surroundings with wilderness stretching out in three directions. We will pick you up and take you to the farm, where we will greet the horses and talk a bit about how each one works.

Then the fun begins. Depending on your riding level, we will head into the woods at a walk, trot or gallop. The trees arch over the narrow forest path, completely covered in snow. Surrounded by nature, the only sounds you will hear are the horses’ footsteps and their steady breathing in the crisp, cold air. These woods are known for their moose population, so if you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the king of the forest.
