Overview
This tour visits the crab field in Alta Fjord, where the red king crab is caught in a box-shaped trap called a "pot". The pot is lifted from the water and brought to the boat. Your captain will demonstrates how to handle the crab. Touch the crab gently and take photos with it.

What to expect?
The tour offers the opportunity to not just see a live red king crab up close and have your giant crab photo taken, but even invites you to touch and lift a giant red king crab. If you rather prefer to just observe, do so while you enjoy the Arctic sea breeze of the exotic Alta Fjord.
Please show up 15 minutes before departure to get dressed. When everyone is ready and dressed, the guide will give you necessary information before you access the boat. On board the boat you must follow all security policies and the information given to you beforehand.
The minimum required number of participants are two persons. If you book for yourself, you can pay for two adult tickets or the tour is cancelled unless more people book the same tour at a later date. If you pay for two adult tickets, you will be refunded the extra ticket if more people join the same tour.
If adverse weather conditions occur at the time and date of a booked tour, you have the option to either cancel the tour with a full refund or reschedule it to a new date. Should you choose to reschedule rather than cancel, and a new date and time are agreed upon between you and the captain, this new arrangement becomes binding. If you do not attend the tour at the rescheduled date and time, the original booking remains valid, and payment for the tour will still be required in full.
If you are late for the tour, the boat will wait max 10 minutes after the tour's starting time and then leave for the tour. You will then be reported as a no-show and not eligible for a refund.

What to bring
If the weather is cold, dress warmly in layers. Start with woolen underwear as a base layer, then a fleece jacket, woolen sweater, or another warm mid-layer. Bring a hat, mittens, and insulated boots or shoes. Boots, woolen socks, mittens, and headwear can also be borrowed if needed.
