What to expect?
At the glacier tongue, we put on the glacier equipment and join the rope team. The guides take you safely across the glacier, where we eventually get the opportunity to use axes and crampons in crevasses.
We take a good break and of course enjoy the view along the way. A completely raw experience! No previous knowledge is necessary. About the trip Just below the Arctic Circle we find Norway's eighth largest glacier, and it spreads mightily from approx. 1,500 meters above sea level and down towards the many lush valleys.

At the glacier tongue, we put on the glacier equipment and join the rope team. The trip is moderately demanding and is ini itself a magnificent adventure that you simply just have to experience. No previous knowledge or experience needed.

Recommended accommodation is at the DNT cabin by Kjennsvatnet. Advanced booking is advised.
What to bring
Participants need sturdy mountain shoes with good grip, wind and waterproof attire, a hat, mittens, and a buff. We recommend also bringing a day backpack with spare clothes and a seating pad, enough food and water, and protection against the sun, including sunglasses and sunscreen.
