Bodø: Beiarfjord & Saltstraumen Cruise by Silent, Electric Ship

Set out on a 3 to 4 hour journey on the waters around Bodø, where you can enjoy the quiet beauty of snow covered mountains and icy waters. Our modern hybrid electric ship provides a calm and peaceful trip. The outdoor areas and the indoor lounge with large panoramic windows give you clear views of the stunning scenery, allowing you to take in the fjord’s natural beauty from the warmth and comfort of the vessel.

In-person guides

Our knowledgeable guides and friendly hosts are here to make your experience even better, sharing interesting insights about the history, wildlife, and geology of the fjords so you can get the most out of your time in Bodø. During the tour, you can enjoy a hot drink and local treats from our café to stay warm. Relax in our comfortable seating areas as you take in the beautiful scenery. The ship has all the amenities you need, including clean and easily accessible toilets, making the journey comfortable for everyone.

Saltstraumen

As we leave, we travel toward Saltstraumen, the world’s strongest tidal current. During this part of the trip, you can see the city of Bodø from a new perspective. Our guides will share all the important details along the way.

When we reach Saltstraumen, we carefully move onto the turbulent water. The strength of the current changes from one tour to another. After taking in the scenery, we continue from Saltstraumen and make our way toward Beiarfjord.

Beiarfjord

The journey to Beiarfjord is truly mesmerizing. The nature in this area is untouched, making it a hidden gem in the Bodø region. In the warmer months, the fjord is open all the way to the end, and we can travel deep into its waters. In the winter, the surface freezes and parts of Beiarfjord turn into a harsh winter landscape, offering a completely different kind of beauty.

This is a region that is difficult to reach, and many of the sights can only be experienced from a boat. We are proud to give our guests the chance to explore this unique part of the Bodø fjords.

Our boat

Bodø is home to the fastest vessel in our fleet. Launched in 2024, this ship is equipped with the latest technology and has wide open outdoor areas where you can walk around and enjoy great views during the tour.

Bre is built to create memorable experiences at sea, with panoramic windows in the spacious heated salon and large deck areas where guests can move freely around the entire boat. The vessel is universally designed and includes a wheelchair lift. Inside, you will also find a café where you can buy drinks and snacks.
