What to expect?
During the trip, we assist with your catch, including gutting, filleting, and preparation, before delivering it directly to the kitchen at Havkanten Restaurant. There, our chefs turn your fresh fish into a delicious three-course dinner, allowing you to enjoy the full “sea-to-table” experience.
Set out from Havkanten Guesthouse aboard our comfortable and authentic fishing boats, designed specifically for Helgeland’s challenging waters. You’ll spend approximately three hours fishing at the best locations chosen by the crew based on seasonal conditions.
Fishing spots are shared among guests, with a maximum of 20 people on board, ensuring everyone gets a chance to catch fish. No matter your experience level, the trip combines hands-on fishing, local stories, and the satisfaction of seeing your own catch served as part of a gourmet meal.
The tour includes an authorized English-speaking guide to provide insights and instructions throughout the experience. On all our boat and fishing trips, coffee, tea, water, fruit, and nuts are served, with additional refreshments available for purchase.
Guests should bring warm and weather-appropriate clothing to stay comfortable on deck, including gloves, hats, and sturdy shoes. While we provide safety equipment, thermal suits, and rain gear if needed, personal items help ensure the best experience. Remember, it is always colder on the sea than on land, so dress in layers and pack extra clothing in a bag.
