What to expect?
Hamarøyskaftet is less known than its famous sibling "Stetind" and the summit is just 613 metres above sea level. Some alpine climbing will be needed to reach the summit, but rest assured you are in good hands. Our professional instructors share their experiences and guide you every step of the way. You are in safe hands and in for an adventure of a lifetime. Do you dare to give it a try?
Please note: If you have long hair, please bring a hair tie so your hair does not get caught in the abseil device during the abseiling. Please remember to cut long fingernails.
Bring NOK 20 for the toll. The final part of the road is on private land.We recommend wearing wind and waterproof outer clothing. If it’s cold, wear a sweater or fleece jacket, woollen underwear, a hat and gloves. Wear hiking boots or appropriate shoes, do not wear ordinary training shoes because the soft sole is unsuitable for climbing.A good tip is to bring a backpack (30 to 40 litres) with some spare space for extra climbing equipment. Bring food and drinks, and a water bottle. We stop in one spot to refill your water bottle during the climb.
