Want to join us for a moose safari in Northern Norway? Experience the thrill of a close meeting with the moose; the largest land animal in Europe. We head out to areas where there is a good chance to see the moose grazing.

What to expect?
Moose are shy animals and are easily frightened back into the woods, but they are usually quite cooperative and often allow us to get fairly close. We know the habits and life of the moose and where we have the best chances to see them.
Elg: In Norway, the moose is called elg, but it should not be confused with the American elk. The elk (Cervus canadensis) is a completely different and much smaller species of deer.
Largest in Europe: The moose is Europe’s largest land animal and the largest member of the deer family. A fully grown bull can stand over 2 meters tall at the shoulders and weigh up to 750 kg (1,650 lb). Cows rarely weigh more than 470 kg (1,035 lb).

Typical group size for our trips range from 2 to 10 (15). We prefer to keep the group size as small as possible for these trips. That improves the experience both for you and the guide.
Larger groups; moose safari for larger groups are also available, then we will we divide the group into smaller groups of 15 – 16 people, each of which trip are accompanied by their own guide and one minibus. Note; we will never mix a private group trip with lone travellers.
Minimum participants; this trip will run with a minimum of 4 people, or if minimum price accepted. Please note, if there are not minimum people booked, the trip may be cancelled.
