What is Saltstraumen?

Saltstraumen is one of Europe’s Wild Wonders. Every six hours, up to 400 million cubic meters of seawater force their way through the 150-meter-wide strait. The current can reach speeds of up to 20 knots, creating whirlpools up to 10 meters in diameter. An attraction you shouldn’t miss.

White-tailed Eagle Safari and Sightseeing

The white-tailed seaeagle is Northern Europe’s largest bird of prey, with a wingspan of up to 2.4 meters. We make several stops on the way to Saltstraumen, where we’ll tell you about the surroundings and focus on getting the eagles close to the boat. So don’t forget to bring your camera!
