Tromsø: Crystal Lavvo Stay with Auroras, Meals & Activities

Located in beautiful Lyngen, the base camp is surrounded by breathtaking fjords, mountains, and islands. With a good distance from the city, you'll find minimal artificial light pollution, providing optimal conditions for viewing the northern lights.

Step into a Crystal Lavvo for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Sleep in a Lavvo heated by a wood-burning fireplace for an authentic Arctic experience. Equipped with a glass ceiling so you can keep an eye on the sky at all times, even from the comfort of your bed.

Enjoy the freedom of having the whole night to search for the northern lights from the warmth and coziness of your Lavvo. If you are lucky, you might even catch different “Releases” during the night.

• Not recommended for people with heart conditions

• We can accommodate the following: vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options, but not in combination (e.g., gluten-free and vegan together). Please don’t forget to add this to your booking notes. We need to know in advance.

• One lavvo has accommodations for up to 4 people, but we never mix guests who don’t know each other in our Lavvos.

• This is an adventure where you have to add wood to your wood oven yourself.

• Shared bathroom/toilet inside the villa and one outside toilet.

• This is not a driving northern light chase, and the whole experience will occur at the base camp.

• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a full refund or a different date if possible

• We may cancel this trip at any time due to weather or safety reasons. In this case, a full refund will be provided.

• The pickup time from Tromsø and the drop-off time in Tromsø can be subject to change, therefore please plan for some extra time between activities and/or travel plans.

• Not suitable for children under 6 years old

• Maximum one suitcase and one medium bag/backpack per person (due to transportation capacity).

Transportation

Please meet at 11:30 AM for departure at 11:45 AM at Prostneset Bus, Boat & Hurtigruten Terminal (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008 Tromsø). Enter the terminal and go to the 1st floor, then head to the bus platform, where you will find a red bus labeled "Arctic Route" guides will be there to assist you. The bus is booked under your booking name.

The bus will take you to Breivikeidet, where you will board the ferry. On the other side, our team will be waiting to transport you directly to the base camp. Please keep an eye on your email and WhatsApp for any updates regarding your pickup.

Transportation to Basecamp: A scenic route that includes a short ferry ride and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Lyngen Alps. 

Base-camp

Basecamp experience: hiking/snowshoeing, mini Aurora photography course, overnight stay in Lavvo with the chance of northern lights, expedition meal, dinner, breakfast, and free time.

End point: Tromsø

Transportation back to Tromsø: A scenic route that includes a short ferry ride and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Lyngen Alps.
