What to expect?
The trip starts with a scenic drive of around 40 minutes around the sea and the mountains. Towards the end of the drive, we will drive up a valley where we will find our pristine frozen lake.
On our trips, safety is top priority. First thing when we arrive at the location, the guide will measure the ice thickness and evaluate the ice conditions. Next, the guide will point out on the map where the ice is best and safest. We record and communicate with our guides about ice conditions, ensuring we have knowledge about how it develops.
Once the guide makes the decision that the ice is safe, it is time to jump onto the ice! The guide will hand out the skates, explaining how tho use them. While you enjoy the time on the ice we will create a nice basecamp with a fireplace, some light food and hot drinks.
Whenever you want a break from skating you just have to come to the camp, where some pastry and warm juice will be served by the fire side.
As the weather can change rapidly in Northern Norway, you must wear warm and windproof clothes to join this tour. Suitable clothing isn't included but can be rented separately at our rental centre with prior arrangements. Please contact us after booking if you would like to rent clothes.
