Tromsø: Snowshoeing to Lyngstuva Light House

Embark on a serene Arctic adventure with our guided snowshoe hike to the iconic Lyngstuva Lighthouse. Your journey begins with a scenic van ride from Tromsø, passing through breathtaking fjords and snow-draped mountains as we head to the northernmost point of the Lyngen Peninsula.

Upon arrival, we’ll gear up with snowshoes and set off on a tranquil hike through the pristine Arctic landscape. As we make our way towards the historic lighthouse, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to soak in panoramic views of the open sea and surrounding peaks. Our experienced guide will share fascinating insights about the area’s history and natural beauty along the way.

After reaching the lighthouse and enjoying some time to explore the surroundings, we’ll return to a cozy local restaurant, where a warm, hearty lunch awaits. Savor delicious regional dishes as you relax and recount the day’s adventure in the inviting atmosphere.

This activity requires a minimum of 4 participants. If the minimum number is not reached, the activity will be cancelled 48 hours before the scheduled start time. In such cases, you will be notified, and a full refund will be issued.

Itinerary

• Meeting point 07.00 AM Prostneset Havterminal, to start at 07.10 AM.

• Ferry at 08.25

• Welcome at Lyngen Experience Lodge at 10.00, where instructions and gear will be provided.

• Short drive to snowshoe starting point at 10.15

• Start of the snowshoe at 10.30

• End of the snowshoe at 13.30, and a short transfer to enjoy lunch.

• Departure back to Tromsø at 14.40

• Ferry at 15.25

• Arrival at Prostneset Havterminal at 17.00
