This tour takes you to the stunning islands of Kvaløya, Sommarøya, and Hillesøy, where you can experience the raw beauty of Norway’s Arctic landscape. Kvaløya, also known as the "Whale Island," offers breathtaking views, majestic mountains, and the possibility of spotting reindeer (although domesticated) in their natural habitat, along with moose, seals, and birdlife. Sommarøya, with its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, is a picturesque location that feels like a hidden paradise.

The tour operates seasonally from May through August, offering the best of the Arctic spring and summer. From the middle of May to the Middle of July, you can enjoy the midnight sun and explore these pristine areas under the endless daylight. The tour is perfect for those seeking an immersive nature experience away from the typical tourist spots.

The start time is more or less fully flexible, and you can, at an extra cost, include a lunch at the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel. A relaxing meal by the beach is always included on the full tours if the weather permits it. For an extraordinary experience, consider scheduling this tour as a midnight sun adventure, starting in the evening to witness this spectacular natural phenomenon on a clear summer night. Both daytime and nighttime tours can be combined with a meal by the sea and a hike to some of the smaller peaks in the area where we are traveling. 

This is a perfect opportunity for guests arriving by cruise ship in Tromsø, and with limited time to explore the surroundings. • To get the most out of this excursion we are required to move a bit in uneven terrain. We will however adapt to the group if necessary.

• We agree upon a specific pickup point in the Tromsø area when communicating before or after the booking. We are flexible, and there is only one group on the excursion.

• Bigger groups than 6 are possible on request - get in touch and we'll give you our best suggestion.

• The tour might be canceled due to poor weather and driving conditions. In some years, the winter lasts well into May.
