Tromsø: 4-Day Holiday Package Crystal Lavvo & Northern Lights

Simply arrive in Tromsø on your selected date and follow the program. Book your return flight for a departure 4 days after. This is a self-guided holiday program, suitable for anyone of normal health.

Day 1: Arrive in Tromsø

Arrive in Tromsø and check in at your 3- or 4-star hotel (Home Hotel With or similar), located right in the center of Tromsø. Our preferred accommodation, Home Hotel With, offers modern hotel offers a large breakfast buffet and an in-house café and bar. The rooms include comfortable beds, free WiFi, wooden flooring, and a flat-screen TV. Some rooms even have seating areas and sound systems that can link to smartphones and tablets. Spend the day exploring Tromsø at your own pace, visiting local attractions such as the Arctic Cathedral, Polaria, and the Tromsø University Museum. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your comfortable room. Based on availability, other hotels of a similar or higher standard might be offered.

Day 2:  Discover Tromsø & Join a Northern Lights Safari

After a hearty breakfast, continue exploaring Tromsø. Consider taking a cable car ride up to Mount Storsteinen for panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the Tromsø Botanical Garden or take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. As night falls, join an exhilarating Northern Lights safari. With an impressive 85% success rate, you’ll have a great chance of witnessing the magical Aurora Borealis. After the safari, return to the hotel for a restful night’s sleep.

Day 3: Transfer to Crystal Lavvos in the Lyngen Alps

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and meet your crew from the Crystal Lavvo resort pick-up, for pick-up between 11.30 AM and 11:45 AM. Enjoy a scenic 45-minute transfer to the stunning Lyngen Alps. Upon arrival, savor a delicious lunch before spending the afternoon snowshoeing through the breathtaking landscapes. In the evening, delight in a homecooked dinner, participate in a Northern Lights workshop, and explore the local area for great Northern Lights right where you are. Spend the night in a cozy crystal lavvo, complete with your own fireplace and unlimited firewood. Enjoy stargazing from your bed, and with some luck, see the Northern Lights from under your blanket.

Day 4: Return to Tromsø

After a hearty breakfast at the Crystal Lavvo resort, prepare for your transfer back to Tromsø. Reflect on the unforgettable experiences of your Arctic adventure as you make your way back to the city. Expect to be in Tromsø around 12 noon on day 4. This package includes all meals, accommodations, and activities mentioned, ensuring a seamless and memorable journey. You only need to book the in- and outbound flights yourself.

Important notes:

• Please meet at 11:30 am for departure at 11:45 am at Prostneset Bus, Boat & Hurtigruten Terminal (Samuel Arnesens gate 5, 9008 Tromsø). Enter the terminal and go to the 1st floor, then head to the bus platform, where you will find a red bus labeled "Arctic Route." guides will be there to assist you.

• The bus is booked under your booking name. The bus will take you to Breivikeidet, where you will board the ferry. On the other side our team will be waiting to transport you directly to the base camp. Please keep an eye on your email and WhatsApp for any updates regarding your pickup.

• For check-ins on Fridays during November 2025, the Crystal Lavvo overnight stay would fall on the second day of the itinerary. Day 1: Tromsø overnight and Northern Lights safari. Day 2: Crystal Lavvos overnight program. Day 3: Tromsø overnight and evening at leisure.

• For check-ins on Thursdays during January thru March 2026, the Crystal Lavvo overnight stay would fall on the second day of the itinerary. Day 1: Tromsø overnight and Northern Lights safari. Day 2: Crystal Lavvos overnight program. Day 3: Tromsø overnight and evening at leisure.
