What to expect?
This six-day journey connects fjords and coastal cities in Western Norway. The trip begins in Ålesund, a coastal town known for its Art Nouveau architecture. After arrival you have time to explore the harbour area and town centre.
On Day 2 you travel by boat to Geirangerfjord. The cruise follows the fjord landscape with waterfalls and small farms along the mountainsides. After time in the village of Geiranger you return to Ålesund by boat.
The journey continues north along the coast. Travel by coach to Molde, a town located on the Romsdal coast. From Molde you continue to Trondheim, one of Norway’s historic cities.
In Trondheim you join a guided walking tour that introduces the city’s history and waterfront district. The afternoon is free to explore the city centre, cafés, and museums.
The journey ends in Trondheim with departure from the local airport.
Day 1: Arrive in Ålesund and Explore the Town Centre
Arrive in Ålesund and make your way to your centrally located hotel. Check in for the night and spend time exploring the harbour, canals, and Art Nouveau buildings in the town centre.
Day 2: Cruise the Geirangerfjord
Travel by boat from Ålesund to Geirangerfjord. The cruise passes fjords, waterfalls, and small farms along the steep fjord walls. Spend time in the village of Geiranger before returning to Ålesund by boat in the afternoon.
Day 3: Travel by Coastal Coach to Molde
Make your way to the bus stop and travel by coastal coach from Ålesund to Molde. The route follows the fjord coastline and small communities along the way. After arrival, check in to your hotel and explore the town during the afternoon.
Day 4: Travel by Coach to Trondheim
Continue north by coach from Molde to Trondheim. After arrival, check in to your centrally located hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the afternoon exploring the harbour area and city centre.
Day 5: Join a Trondheim Walking Tour
Join a guided walking tour of Trondheim. The tour introduces the city’s history, waterfront warehouses, and main landmarks. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore Trondheim at your own pace.
Day 6: Depart from Trondheim
After breakfast, make your way to Trondheim Airport for your onward journey.
